Ready to start building your best college app? 😇

A2C members make the same admissions mistakes over and over. We break the cycle.

We've been moderating r/ApplyingToCollege for over four years and making content that's reached millions of Redditors. We've included some of our best stuff below.

If you want to talk about how we've helped tons of Redditors crack competitive STEM and business admissions—you can fill out our form. No pressure!

Our Best Resources for A2C members

Howdy, Redditor. First, no one really wants to be called a Redditor—but if you're on this page, it's because you found us through A2C. Even though the sub can seem like a neutral and global community, its members have certain biases. We know because we've worked with hundreds of folks from A2C to help them crack competitive STEM and business admissions.

At Sierra Admissions, we’re a small team of admissions expers and former AOs who believe that access to great information shouldn’t be behind a paywall.

Here are three essential resources we think will be especially helpful for A2C kids and families trying to figure out their admissions plan.

  1. The Incredible Power of a Cohesive College Application → The single biggest thing that differentiates a strong applicant from a weak one. This is a must-read.

  2. How to hire a college consultant → I (Alex) wrote this guide because of how stressed and confused families were. It went viral on Reddit and then I remade it and improved it on our site.

  3. How top schools actually score extracurriculars and soft factors → Not all extracurriculars are created equal. Here’s how colleges actually rank them.

If you want to know more about us, I recommend reading about our wonderful team, our outcomes data, and our California practice (and especially our work on the UC system).

We hope these resources help, and we’re always happy to continue the conversation! 🚀

We've helped hundreds of students get into schools like these.

"Couldn't be happier."

We’ve worked with Alex for four years and have had nothing but an amazing experience throughout. Our son did his applications with Alex and got into Brown, so we asked him to work with our daughter. In junior/senior year he helped my daughter build a school list and coached her through writing essays that were as amazing and personal as our son’s. She's now at Bowdoin. Couldn't be happier.

"Truly gifted writing coaches."

We hired Sierra Admissions to help my son research what he wanted to study in school. Alex helped him land an amazing research position and brought my husband and me up to speed on the admissions process. Alex has become a mentor to Ken. They know the college process in and out and are truly gifted writing coaches. We recommend Sierra Admissions to everyone.

"Great result."

Our sophomore needed help thinking about career & major. Set up meetings twice a month and were ready to go by senior year. Brown BS/MD great result!

"Helped me brainstorm an essay I loved."

I like writing but the college essays are so weird. I had never really written a personal essay but Alex broke it down and helped me brainstorm an essay I loved.
